So many people have asked me, and I can finally answer, yes, I have now tried McDonalds in Inida. Shalini picked up food for the team since we were working on a Saturday night (which the team told me is the first time they’ve done this since they started working here). She wasn’t sure the cafeteria would be open, and she wanted to make sure we were able to eat. She got me a McChicken and fries. It tasted almost like the ones in America. The team members got the veggie meals (a lot of the Indians here are vegetarian, so the most commonly asked question when ordering food is veggie or not veggie). Their “burgers” were made of potatoes and vegetables. Another food I’ve had almost everyday is Lay’s potato chips. Just like home. They have other flavors (Masala being one of them), but they are spicy.
